Because if you're not actually in the same place face to face it's not actually dating.

And it costs a fortune for plane. And one must go to much trouble for the person you want to meet. They usually do not meet travel requirements. You have to do paperwork for them. You have not even met the person; then you are bending over backwards to meet the person that you have not met. Thousands and thousands of dollars later, you meet. Then to marry, it is more red tape. But some people are free to travel. Others must go through much work to get a visa. It is not always worth all the work.

Online dating is not dating. It is correspondence.

Until one video chats with someone, you cannot be truly certain that a photo is even of them.

Online dating is really a form of BLIND DATING.

The future of online dating is A.I. pretending to be human.

Distance relationships do not last and distance dating does not last.

Yes, I've been to the other side of the world four times for words and got stood-up! Only $2,000 for a flight to meet no one. Great idea!

Who cares how far someone is away!

It is like the U.S. government with an unlimited purse to find the one you dream of.

No problem when one has unlimited funds to throw away.

But a wife of noble character, WHO CAN FIND? (Proverbs 31:10)

I wouldn't say that...I've met two gents online and have now known them for years. One wanted to marry me; unfortunately, I did not have those kind of feelings for him. I love him very much in an agape way. We've been through lifetimes together. Definitely a Divine Appointment! He's been to see me and I, him. We live in two different states. The other one told me he's not into long distance relationships (I initiated the conversation; I liked his profile). I was fine with that, and as he was a fairly recent widower, I offered to write to him. That's what we have been doing for over 2 years! He's the BEST! We have shared many belly laughs together. He's had a relationship that came and went, as has the first gent I mentioned ... but we always have each other to fall back on. I couldn't be more blessed! :-)

Yes I agree distance should not be a problem if proper video chats are done and getting to really know one another.
