Speaking for myself I usually do not respond to men who have dog pics up...because in my thinking ...they are insecure....ill prepared...and I feel it tells me there not serious about finding a mate...I mean if I was searching for a dog I would search on a animal site... *Even a pastor friend told me to avoid men with dog pics* So why is this? Maybe it is just me, or wrong thinking..hmmm Post Reply

He loves and is proud of his dog. and wants to share it. Some people (which would include myself) their pets become their children, if they don't have any of their own, and/or part of their family. Perhaps he wants who ever will be "the one" to know this up front and will be able to live with it. Could be a way to have women pull up their profile to see the man that owns and cares for this dog. To name a few... I personally don't think there's anything wrong with having a pic of their dog on their profile. However, if the pic of their dog is used to take the place of a pic of the person of the profile then that's a different story and a bit creepy. What was thw reason your pastor told Post Reply

Posted : 27 Sep, 2010 09:03 PM Thanks you guys All good comments and advice...I have nothing against pets, and I love dogs .I have just noticed a few profiles that had lots of dog pics and I found that odd...I understand people love there pets and often display them proudly..and even call them family... However I still feel someone that displays many dog pics or other animals is saying something more, or not saying something....Maybe it is just how I see it. So I asked----it is as simple as that... If the girl doesn't like dogs, she's warned early. That's why I have a pic of my cat up (and guys with cats have way more of stigma about them, I hear). We're not endangering the animal, which you could make a case that women who post pics of their children are doing. Shrugs. That reminds me. I need to go post pics of my computers and my music gear.
