yes you can know if you’re going to go to heaven. If you have trusted in the work of the true God and believe the true gospel, then you are going to heaven. Also, 1 John 5:13 says that we can know we have eternal life. In other words, it is possible for you to know you are going to heaven.

Such confidence about going to heaven is not based upon our works or our goodness. If it were, there would be two problems. First, that would be arrogance because you are trying to earn your place with God through your own effort. Second, you would never be able to know if you have been truly good enough. All false religions teach that your salvation is dependent, in part, on your ability to be good. This only leads to frustration and doubt because we are all imperfect. In fact, even if a person were sincere about God it does not mean he’s going to heaven, because sincerity is an appeal to the goodness of one’s own heart and that is another form of arrogance.

Instead, salvation is based upon the work of Jesus who is God in flesh (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9), who lived a perfect life (1 Peter 2:22), who bore our sins in his body on the cross (1 Peter 2:24), and died and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Being forgiven of our sins, which enables us to go to heaven, is based on the work of Christ and his payment for our sins against God. This is why we are able to have assurance that we are going to heaven. We are not putting our trust in anything we have done, but in everything that Jesus has done. This is vitally important. When you do that, you can have confidence you’re going to heaven.

What is needed to trust Jesus?

You must know first of all that you are a sinner because you have lied, stolen, lusted, been unrighteously angry, etc., (Romans 3:23). You must believe that your sins separate you from God (Isaiah 59:2) and result in death (Romans 6:23), because only then will you cry out for deliverance from God (Galatians 3:24). Only then will you, by faith, trust in what Jesus has done on the cross to forgive you of your sins. When you believe the gospel (Mark 1:15; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4), then you are made right before God by faith (Romans 3:28; 4:5; 5:1). That is how you can know if you’re going to heaven

Finally, you behave according to what you believe(Romans 6:16). When a person believes the gospel, when he believes he is a sinner and needs forgiveness through Christ, then he behaves in a manner consistent with that belief. In other words, there’s a change in him (2 Corinthians 5:17). When a person is born again (John 3:3), God lives in him (John 16:23). This means there is a change in the person, and the change results in a struggle against sins and a desire to please God. It doesn’t mean we always do it the right way, but it does mean that we want to please the Lord.

So, you can know if you’re going to heaven by trusting what Jesus has done on the cross. You can ask him to forgive your sins. You can trust in what he has done. This is eternal life.

@rsvp

Why are you and so many concerened about a place called Heaven, when you should be concerned about the person called YASHUA Ha Meschiach.

Which is more important, the place or the person.

Without the person, there is no place.

Without me,(Yashua ) you are nothing, and nothing exists.

All things were made by Him and for Him.

Colossians 1 verses 15- 17

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, 16 because in Him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him.

17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Matthew 28 verses 18-20

18 Then Yashua came to them and said, β€œAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples / LEARNERS of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to guard/ keep intact/ not to change, all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

John 14:6

Jesus " said to him" , " I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Note

Every True Believer knows Jesus Christ as their Savior.

And where He is there we shall be also.

Off topic

When a Christian prays, whatever you're asking should be in the Will of God.

Praying out of God's will, maybe why you are not receiving what you asking for !

Rsvp, you was right the first posts about Moon/Cakes, she has many times not read the thread, nor understood the message but that's ok rsvp because you cannot understand CONTEXT to most every subject! LOL! Lets look at one little distraction here of Moon/Cakes....

Moon asks a question and writes - 'How do Christians know what the Will of God is'

You don't know Moon? Is not the Bible clear that the will of YHWH is to have every believer (in His WORD) also have their human wills (By His POWER) to keep His Torah Law each and every day!? So really what is the whole conclusion and duty of mankind Moon???

Ecclesiastes 12:13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: >>>Fear God, and keep his commandments:<<< for this is the whole duty of man.

This would include ALL TEN of His commandments, not 9 as you have suggested and cultist rsvp, tinyfaithdavid have many times! Right?

Lets also look at another distraction here of Quiz!

Quiz,

Who is this human person called Yah'shua the Messiah that we should be concerned about in our lives??? You quoted Colossians 1:15-17, right? Did you understand the context of the rest of the Bible on who He is???

15. He (The WORD of the Father made flesh!) is the image (that we will one day actually see in like flesh as we are) of the invisible YHWH (The Father, when He chooses to be in His set apart Holy Spirit), the firstborn (Messiah Yah'shua) over all creation,

16. because in Him (Messiah Yah'shua) were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him (Messiah Yah'shua).

17. And He (Messiah Yah'shua) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

John 1:1-3, 14

1. In the beginning was the Word (WORD of the Father >before< becoming Messiah Yah'shua in the human flesh), and the Word (of the Father Himself) was with Father YHWH, and the Word was YHWH (Himself, not another 'god').

2. He (The WORD of the Father >before< becoming Messiah Yah'shua in the human flesh) was with YHWH (The Father) in the beginning.

3. Through Him (Messiah Yah'shua) all things were made; without Him (Messiah Yah'shua) nothing was made that has been made.

So WHO is this human person called Yah'shua the Messiah again???

14. The Word (Of the Father >before< becoming Messiah Yah'shua in the human form) became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen

his glory (for us today by FAITH!), the glory of the one and only Son (Yah'shua the Messiah), who came >>>from the Father<<< (not another 'god'), full of grace and truth. AMEN!!!

So WHO is this WORD (again!!!) that became flesh like us, which is ALSO a Mighty God and our Everlasting Father ???

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child (Yah'shua the Messiah) is born, to us a son (Yah'shua the Messiah) is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He (Yah'shua the Messiah) will be called Wonderful Counselor, >>>Mighty God,<<< >>>Everlasting Father<<<, Prince of Peace.

So tell us all Quiz why you call one of your deities 'GOD ALMIGHTY" but the other one is not??? Clearly Isaiah says Yah'shua the Messiah >IS< also a >>>Mighty God,<<< and a >>>Everlasting Father<<< to us! RIGHT?

Ecclesiastes 5:6

Do not let your speech cause you to sin and do not say in the presence of God that it was a mistake.
