Divine providence and divine miracles are often confused. Sadly this is because too many Christians and their teachers just don’t think the knowledge of God is worth studying at a premium level. Hence, such widespread ignorance across the evangelical landscape.

So, what is the difference between divine providence and a divine miracle?

A miracle or a (sign and wonder) is God doing something that is exceptionally spectacular and out of the ordinary. Just like the word “miracle” means—a powerful “sign or an amazing “wonder”.

The Providence of God, on the other hand, is God working out things in ordinary ways.

Here’s a biblical example of God’s providence vs God’s miracle. Take wine for example: wine is made naturally from from picking and squeezing grapes. Squeezing grapes to make juice is a gift from God. God clearly controls the process and the discovery of all good things even grape juice. This is just one example of God’s providence (God’s will or God’s superintendence)

On the other hand, Jesus performed a REAL miracle when he instantly turned water into wine‼️Obviously this was a supernatural act unlike the natural process under God’s providence of growing grapes, picking grapes and squeezing grapes in order to make grape juice or wine. So, Jesus performed a REAL miracle‼️‼️ BUT God’s is provident over all creation‼️‼️

Consider God’s providence in the story of Joesph, his abduction to Egypt and his family circumstances‼️‼️This is AMAZING‼️‼️

Consider God’s providence as he uses ordinary things to bring about normal events in order to fulfill his prophetic words‼️‼️

God’s providence is just as AMAZING as his signs and marvelous wonders and miracles‼️‼️
