Have you read "God's Smuggler to China?"

"Christ's Witchdoctor" is along the lines of "Peace Child."

"Lords of the Earth" is another good read from Don Richardson (authored Peace Child)

Intermittent Connection

Well, you have admitted to stepping away from the Lord. Have you repented of doing so? 1 John 1:9 promises, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Without repentance, the breech is still there. What is repentance? Thinking the same way about right and wrong as God, desiring the changes, and turning toward Truth.

Are you daily in the Word? God talks to us through His Word, the Bible.

Are you seeking Him? Jeremiah 29:13 states that we are to call upon him, seek him and find him when we search with all our heart.

Is your grandmother still alive? Talk with her.

Find someone more mature spiritually and ask for accountability in your relationship with God. God tells us to bear one another's burdens. He also says to confess our faults one to another.

There is a book by Henry Blackaby called "Experiencing God". You might want to read it.

Jen Wilkins has two books that would be beneficial for you, "Women of the Word" and "None Like Him."

Keep contending for the faith.

Faith and ocd/depression
Posted : 1 Mar, 2020 10:54 AM

Charles Spurgeon a great preacher was well known as struggling with depression. Depression isn't always a spiritual problem. Sometimes it is a physical problem and sometimes a hormonal problem. I would seek Godly counsel. There are biblical counselors and Christian doctors that can be of help. Charles Spurgeon would walk through nature and see God's greatest as a means to not allow depression to overwhelm him. Some people find a dietary change relieves it, and others find serving others and reaching out helps. Keep contending.

I'd rather be alone than to find someone like this

The book of Hosea was a God picked object lesson to show Israel their repugnant sin of idolatry, God wasn't condoning neither Gomer nor prostitution. He was calling Israel to repentance.

Is church attendance important?
Posted : 1 Mar, 2020 10:46 AM

I'm sorry that something happened to turn you off to the church. I absolutely know the importance of it. I have grown up studying the Bible and the church is God's model not man's. You might not want to believe that and might want to not accept it, but that doesn't stop the truth from being the truth.

You have already stated that it was the end, so if it isn't marriage end it. If you are married, it isn't God's plan for marriages to end, but to work through the problems.

Help

I grew up in a pastor's family and am wrapping up time as a missionary. Do you have a church? Your pastor and his wife are there to help and I'm sure would love to do so. If you don't have a church family, I'd encourage you to find a church which preaches the Bible. God established churches as a means to help and grow His people.

The hum of the microphone didn't bother the messenger as he tried to shorten his testimony. His grin showed that he didn't want to shorten it, but the pastor knew that others needed opportunities as well. His words delighted all his hearers.

"I was raised in a Christian home to godly parents. I thank God for them. We went to church regularly, but at eighteen, I didn't see the need. I still attended at times, but I didn't really need Christ in my life. I was fine. I got a good job, married and had children.

One night well on the job, I was taken abducted. As cold metal pressed into my side and the cold metal of a gun barrel interrupted the sweat dripping down my temple, I thought of those years of Sunday school lessons. As I sat squished in between my captors, I saw that I needed Jesus. I cried out knowing that I was hell-bound. Though captive, I became the freest man in that car.

When was the last time that you heard a fantastic story of God's saving grace?
Posted : 28 Feb, 2020 08:30 AM

It was through a divine appointment that I followed the incessant barking of a neighborhood dog and met a brother in Christ. (It wasn't his dog making the racket.) I was privileged to hear his testimony.

My boyhood city was fully given over to Satan. There were no Christians. One day, when I was seven-years-old, something new happened. A Christian came to town. He preached in the city and my mother dragged me to hear this new thing. I stood and heard the name "Jesus" for the first time. I thought, "someday, I'll know that man Jesus." That was the only day that a Christian came to town.

I grew up in the church of Satan. I led worship and was demon possessed, but always wanting to meet that man Jesus. I became more heavily involved with Satanic worship, its rituals, ceremonies, and suppers. I drank the blood and ate the flesh of Satan's suppers. I saw my three brothers murdered by demons.

My step father lay dying thrashing in a pool of blood and water as his demon killed him. My mother shouted out in agony, "Why?!" Why are you doing this? He served you! He sacrificed to you. He gave you everything that you asked. He followed you. Why are you killing him? Why?!" The demon came out of my mom's husband, beat her up, and replied, "Don't you know that this is the price required for serving me? This is the cost of following me." My mother served that demon to the end of her life as well.

I moved away and as I was walking one day a Baptist girl asked me, "Do you know Jesus?" "No, I one day I will." I replied. She responded, "I believe that too." I came to know Jesus. The demons left, but I was still tormented with the desire to drink blood. I missed the taste in my mouth. I prayed that God would take it away. When I had my first Lord's supper, God took that desire to drink blood from me.
