Howdy Jude,

If you replace the word "love" in 1 Corinthians 13, with "Christ", the passage on love makes perfect sense. It is my own personal belief that "love" is not something anyone can do. Instead, I believe it's a "condition". The condition of the Spirit and presence of Christ dwelling in someone, who simply is Love.
