If your husband asked that you not cut your hair short, what would your response be? He wouldn't be trying to force you but just saying that he prefers long hair on his wife.

Second question: What would be the most respectful way to bring up the topic?

Easy there girl!

you wrote : If he loves to touch my hair and likes some length to it because of that, then we could come up with a hair length that is mutually pleasing to both of us.

I must admit reading that got me a little excited...hehehe

Some of us like to run our fingers through it and maybe if the time is right give it a gentle but firm tug.

Oh no....I think it is cold shower time!

My hair is kept short cuz I dont like fussin with it. Its Babyfine, but also very heavy when its past my shoulders or ina ponytail I get headaches from it. Gents dont like it when a Women gets HeadacheIm I right here ? :glow:...

Ifin He fell in Love with me & Married me with my hair this length Id wonder why all of a sudden hed be wantin me ta change:rolleyes:...Ifin it was already shoulder length & he mentioned he liked it jus how it isId leave it for him as long as I didnt get no headaches....

Second question: What would be the most respectful way to bring up the topic?

ah... well up until a couple weeks ago my hair was 1 inch away from being waist length. I cut 3 inches off so now it's 4 inches from being waist length but well below my bra line... I'm considering cutting another couple inches making it to hit my mid back and in line with my bra... haven't decided yet.

However, I am not a "short hair" person... I guess since I'm tall and people mistake me for a guy even with long hair I dare not give them more reason to mistake me for a guy right? LOL no the shortest I'm willing to go is shoulder length period... so I don't think my "guy" will have to worry about me coming home with a pixy cut anytime in this lifetime.

I agree with everyone else about bringing up the subject however...

It would depend on his reason for wanting it long. If he suddenly got an idea that it was necessary for me not to ever cut my hair for religious reasons, we'd have a problem. If he just liked my hair a certain way, and complimented me on it, I'd be much more apt to have it long. But if he wanted me to help him with an animal that liked to bite at my ponytail, braid or bun, if he expected me to help around heavy equipment that made long hair a safety issue, if it was giving me headaches, or if kids were constantly pulling at it and hurting me, I'd expect him to be considerate enough to find a way to enjoy it shorter for my sake.
