Here’s what Jesus said about giving: Matthew 6:1-21 Giving to the Needy 6 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when 👉👉👉you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, 👉👉👉to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, 👉they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Note also: Mormons and other cults believe they are being “led by God” to give to their various cults. 3. NOTE: Many false teachers like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore and many many others also believe you are “giving to God” when you contribute large sums to their false teaching ministries‼️‼️ So: It’s very important that we are truly being lead by the Holy Spirit inspired scriptures when we decide to give‼️‼️ And to make sure we are not led by strange voices going off inside our heads or by ANY religious beliefs held by those who look 👉👉👉outside of scripture for confirmation👈👈👈 Post Reply

I was at living just above the poverty level (and I really mean just above which at times was less that a $100) but I was still able to donate at least a $100 a month in canned food items to the food pantry. And that was above and beyond what I was already tithing. I wanted these tight wads who all made at least twice as much money as me to know that I was willing to sacrifice some of what little I had for those less fortunate in the hopes they would also give. Do you want to know what happened? Absolutely nothing. Those tight butts never got the hint or did but still didn't care. Needless to say I quit going there. The last Church I attended had a very large sanctuary that always had pallets of food and other items to give away. There were usually more pallets than people. Post Reply

Posted : 18 Aug, 2025 06:14 PM Yes, God loves a cheerful giver and the People of Israel were commanded to give their" FIRST FRUITS" to God and Jesus said to SEEK FIRST the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness. But Paul said he did not desire that one be hard-pressed while others are relieved, and he said if you don't work, you don't eat. So, there are a number of Bible verses to sling around concerning giving. Moreover, Matthew 20:15 says, "Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ So, what you may do with your money is not what someone else wants to do with their money. Some people want to give to Planned Parenthood. Some people say that that is the Christian thing to do. They want to help in God's work of providing women with abortions. Some may feel it is the Christian thing to do to help someone out in changing their appearance because God got their assignment wrong, and we as Christians should help pay to correct what God did wrong. So, there are many opinions about giving. You certainly have your ideas for us. I won't even tell you how to throw your money. I have the causes I believe in, and I have the causes I want to give. Then there are causes I don't want to give at all. And I have a right to choose how I direct my money. The government takes what it wants, and what is left over, I get to choose how I direct it. But the more government takes, the less we have to direct to the causes that we want our money to go. The government would have us fund every evil and that we pay for it. Hopefully Trump will correct some of that. But Jesus said that the widow that gave a copper coin gave more than THE GIVERS that you telling women to seek. Post Reply

If you are not a giver that is your own choices and you will answer to Jesus whatever you do are do not do! I do not tell anyone where to give! This is supposed to be a Christian site not for your Bashing Churches, christians, Pastors and the ministries you do not like. HM You reap what you sow that is Bible.
