my son is a mess! He is involved with drugs and alcohol and is making everyone around him hurt for him!
He was raised by my parents, and no child was ever more loved!!! He was rotten spoiled, but I am not jealous. I was glad that my parents had healed and loved someone so very much.
Here is my Question:
My parents, especially my father was always super strict with me; strict to the point of abusive, and a bit mean.
I forgive my father, I LOVE my father! VERY MUCH!!! Yet, I wonder. I have always heard about (generational curses), and I have never understood that verse in the Bible about "binding and loosing." Is it possible that the problem with my son is because of a curse on my father, because of the way he raised me? If so, How Do I Remove It?
Might be possible...for generational curses, like the promised curse in Exodus 20, or other causes, I experienced fighting mine when someone told me of the site demonbuster.com ...it helped me, I hope it will help you too.
I was living with my parents after my divorce. I remarried, and my new husband and I were moving to CA. My parents very much wanted to raise my son, and at the time I thought it would be best.
You said that your father was very strict with you; bot that your son was loved, even spoiled. Being strict with someone doesn't mean that you don't love them.
My mother was very loving; and very strict. She was strict because she loved us. She wanted us to be the best that we could be. She mad great personal sacrifices for us children. I couldn't have asked for a more loving mother.
My sister and I are about a year apart in age. We were both raised the same way; by the same mother. My sister went one way. I went another. We're polar opposites in our lifestyles and morality.
This is just one example of why I have come to the understanding that how people turn out, has less to do with how they're raised, and more to do with the fact that they are their own people; and that they will make their own decisions.
I watched my mother unjustly blame herself for my sister's shortcomings. Sometimes when loved one's are in trouble; we kick ourselves for not doing more; even after we have done all that we could.
Keon, I watched the video, that guy has a wrong understanding of Matthew 18: 18- 20, as do most people.
The health and wealthers love to use this verse in order to belittle others by saying they do not have enough faith to bind or loosen their finances of physical healing.
Matthew 18: 18- 19
18�Verily I say to you, Whatever things ye may bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever things ye may loose on the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens.
19�Again, I say to you, that, if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask � it shall be done to them from my Father who is in the heavens,
The understanding of this Scripture comes by translating this correctly.
This Scripture being translated correctly would read as follows.
Whatever has already been bound in the heaves shall have been bound upon the earth.
Whatever has already been loosed in the heavens shall have been loosed upon the earth.
Man thinks much of himself, and so very little of GOD Almighty.
Men say they are doing something FOR GOD, then I ask them this. IS what you are doing FOR GOD or FROM GOD.
The same question applies to binding and loosing.
Who is doing and the binding and loosing, man or GOD Almighty.
Hi Debra :waving: I'm really sadden to hear about your boy. Its always heart breaking to have to see a loved one go through such troubles.

*** This right here is the crux of his troubles. He has made many choices contrary to Papa God's will for His children for reasons that only he has...I've learned that when a person opens the door to the dark side sort of speak...it gives way to the demonic influences around us.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Alcohol and Drugs when misused can cause addictions that only a Divine Intervention can Heal. However the one suffering must call upon the LORD and be willing to submit to the LORD...until then...the LORD can not and will not help them personally...
Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I'd be lying to you sister if I was to try and sugar coat the problem by saying it is just a faze or that he will grow out of it. :( I love you to much to that and you already know I'm a straight from hip shooter.

Possible ?...Yes!...Generational Curses go way back. Called or referred to as "The sins of the father"...We all know that History Repeats its self...the Good the Bad and the Ugly�over and over again...and a person can say...I'm not going to raise my kids the way my folks did...however...folks can only relay to the child what they them self have been taught....good and bad. That is why we have the Holy Bible teach us Papa GOD's ways. I've seen enough in the world to know that folks are really broken people and want so deperartly to "Fix" someone or something that in Truth ONLY the LORD can...we can only Pray for them because Hurt people do Hurtful things. And Sin is Sin no matter if we do not want to admit it.
I will join you in prayer that your son be awakened to his situation and call upon the LORD and ask for help...

Vs 15....A adult or child cannot keep something they do not have in their heart...
There are many books about Generational Curses...however I've found that they all are purty much the same...There is no "fixing" what has already been done. We can however move forward and be confident in the LORD that He will do what He chooses for HIS Glory. He will strenghten us...lead us...guide us to Victory over all Sin...
Since your boy is dealing with the "demons of alcohol and drugs" and that is what they are...I will recommend the book titled..."Pigs in the Parlor"...It can and will help you discern betwix the different spirits of "Dis~Ease" and strengthen you in your own walk. You can "Bind" and "Cast out" them out just as the LORD Jesus did when He walked among us. If you would like to discuss this more you know where to find me :)
