The earlier Church believed that Jesus was our only Mediator and our High Priest who intercedes for us in the heavenly temple. 1 Timothy 2:5 Unfortunately some in the Christian faith have sought to exalt Mary to the position of co-mediator, which is totally contrary to what the scriptures teach us. The remnant people will accept that Jesus is the only one who can mediate for them. 6. The early Church understood that only Jesus could forgive our sins, as He is the Son of God. Today some portions of the Christian Church have appointed earthly man as priests and teach that they have the power to forgive sins, and that God will go along with them, whether they choose to forgive or not to forgive. This is a totally unbiblical doctrine, and in fact matches the Bible's definition of blasphemy. When Jesus purported that He could forgive sins, the Jewish leaders not knowing that He really was the Son of God, and therefore did have the authority to do so) sad that Jesus was committing blasphemy. God does not support abusers. Obvious they have distorted mindsets. Best ask Jesus to Deliver them from evil. They are in their own Flesh nowhere near a teacher of Truth. Post Reply

Much of what the church teaches is something opposite of what the Bible teaches and something other than what the Bible teaches. The church has become very good at teaching doctrines different from anything we read in the Bible. Right is wrong and wrong is right. Post Reply
