Salvation by Grace

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast,” (Ephesians 2:8–9).

“You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace,” (Gal. 5:4).

This verse and its context plainly teach that if you believe that you are saved by faith and works, then you are not saved at all. This is a common error in the cults. Because they have a false Jesus, they have a false doctrine of salvation. (Read Rom. 3-5 and Gal. 3-5).

You cannot add to the work of God. Gal. 2:21 says, “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”

“Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.” (Rom. 3:20).

“However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness,” (Rom. 4:5).

“Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law,” (Gal. 3:21).

Salvation is not universal resurrection as Mormonism would declare. Rather, it is the saving from God’s righteous judgment. Furthermore, salvation, which is the forgiveness of sins, is accomplished by faith alone (Rom. 4:1-11).

Roman Catholicism denies salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ alone. Therefore, Roman Catholicism is outside of Christianity.

The Resurrection of Christ

“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith,” (1 Cor. 15:14). “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins,” (1 Cor. 15:17).

To deny the physical resurrection is to deny that Jesus’ work was a satisfactory offering to God the Father. It would mean that Jesus was corrupt and needed to stay in the grave. But, he did not stay because his sacrifice was perfect.

These verses clearly state that if you say that Jesus did not rise from the dead (in the same body He died in – John 2:19-21), then your faith is useless.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Muslims deny Jesus’ physical resurrection. Therefore, they are outside of Christianity.

The Gospel

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:8–9).

Verses 8 and 9 in Galatians are a self-declarative statement that you must believe the gospel. The gospel message which in its entirety is that Jesus is God in flesh, who died for sins, rose from the dead, and freely gives the gift of eternal life to those who believe.

Furthermore, it would not be possible to present the gospel properly without declaring that Jesus is God in flesh per John 1:1, 14; 10:30-33; 20:28; Col. 2:9; Phil. 2:5-8; Heb. 1:8.

1 Cor. 15:1-4 defines what the gospel is: “Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” (1 Corinthians 15:1–4).

Within these verses are the essentials: Christ is God in flesh (John 1:1, 14; 10:30-33; 20:28; Col. 2:9); Salvation is received by faith (John 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10); therefore it is by grace; and the resurrection is mentioned in verse 4. Therefore, this gospel message automatically includes the essentials.

A Saved person has to stay connected to the Vine, that Vine is Jesus! You are saved by grace not works that is true! Christians are to have the Fruit of the Spirit, You can not just live any kind of Way and stay have a Relationship with Jesus, your relationship can be broken. Some that think otherwise. Keep thinking that way, because Christians are going to have to give account of their lifestyle. Most True Christians have a good teacher lead by God. You need lead by God to teach His Word.

Moonlight, you claim it’s all grace but then you say that one must hold on to the vine in order to stay saved‼️‼️

That’s NOT grace‼️‼️that’s works salvation‼️‼️

Your false kind of “grace salvation” is really works salvation‼️‼️This is because you insist that a person must 👉keep himself👈 saved by continuing to stay attached to the vine‼️🥺

So, in other words, in your view, the minute you stop working at hanging on to the vine to keep yourself saved you “loose” salvation‼️‼️‼️

Your view is a false view of what it means to be saved by grace‼️‼️

Seems you came at me first and not the Men.

Worse yet moonlight you don’t appear to understand biblical terminology.

Instead, you are confusing the 👉inward attitude of a Spiritually renewed heart that bears the fruits of the Spirit by the power of indwelling Spirit.

You seem to be confusing the work of the Spirit who works within us to bear good fruit with merely a legalistic human work that can only bear outward imitations of real fruit‼️‼️

Just because you preform outward works of righteousness done in flesh for others to see doesn’t mean your inward person has been genuinely changed or renewed by the Holy Spirit.

If you indeed have “exact knowledge of salvation” why have you not been able to explain it in your own words⁉️⁉️⁉️

Yes, Jesus did the work of dying on the cross and we do not earn our salvation. It is a FREE GIFT from God through Jesus and God foreknows who will receive it and Jesus chooses to not lose one that the Father has given to him.

We will be recognized by our fruit. (Luke 6:44)

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. (James 2:18)

Have you considered Matthew 25:14-30?

God does expect fruit from us.

Jesus tells us to bear much fruit. (John 5:15)

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. (John 5:18)

It is an expectation of God that we bear fruit. He wants fruit from us. It is a show of love.

John 14:2, Jesus says, "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

While we don't earn our salvation, our labor may determine the kind of place that Jesus prepares for us. Greater honor going to those who stored more in heaven.

I agree with everything you posted above.

But here’s something to think about.

Atheists, Pharisees and members of other religions can do all the same kinds of good works and even more so and even better than some Christians. For example, some atheists are better parents than some Christians. Some atheists are more patient and loving than some Christians. I could go on with more examples.

On judgement day, atheists and false religious folk will come to Jesus and present to him all kinds of good works they’ve done but he will say to them, “…I never knew you, depart from me you cursed into the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels, I never knew you…”

The question is: what is the difference between the fruit of the spirit and the obedience of true Christians compared to the imitation fruit and imitation obedience of unbelievers?

Outwardly they all look alike. In some cases, unbelievers might even look better than true believers ‼️
