With the gift of tongues, we see Babel undone, not undue babbling. Posted : 7 Dec, 2010 12:24 PM Speaking in tongues when it was in effect was a sign to Israel that the Holy Spirit had now been given to unbelievers, never to believers. 1 Corinthians 14:22 �Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. According to the above statement in 1Cor. 14:22, those who speak in tongues as part of their religion are proving themselves as unbelievers and don't even realize it. Also speaking in tongues today is babbling, and is part of our modern tower of babel. 2 Timothy 2:16 �But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. I'm sure I'll get some flak on this one regardless of what God's word says. LOL Gary Post Reply
