Here's one that drive's me bananas. The saying "God helps those who help themselves....."



The closest thing I can think that lines up with that is ....



Faith without works is dead.



I guess it's like....if I want to be a Christian gospel artist and sing very well, and I have faith that I can accomplish that, but I don't record an album, or sing in the choir, etc., then God won't be able to bless that really.



I've heard someone that I respect dearly put it this way before:



" I make a move, then God makes a move, I make a move, then God makes a move."



Now that may not be evident in everybody's life, but it is certainly what's happened in my life.



But yes, Twosparrows, another phrase that aint in the bible!

Twosparrows, I agree, but one might say...well we're not involved intimately. We have no interest in one another. And maybe that's true. I was just hoping there was a more specific scripture.



Once again, I agree with you though. I'm against shacking up. Like I said before, it gives a foothold to the :devil:
