Um... while it's mostly stuff that I would hope would come up in conversation anyway, considering how deeply a person and their intended should be talking, if somebody were to ask me many of these questions or hand me that print out, I would be ultimately creeped out. Honesty should just be a part of getting to know each other, not being open to interrogation.

Definitely for after marriage, though some of it could be used during the engagement, probably as part of pre-marital counseling.

A lot of the questions would (or should) come up during the dating process; some of them, though, would more likely serve to stir up thoughts and feelings that are better left un-stirred early in a relationship.

Good grief...and is that test graded? if so I'm sure I would fail miserably!

I do not remember MUCH of my childhood... only small snippets and fragments... my father died when I was 3 and my mom never remarried so that whole "father" section will be completely blank.

The fears and "problems with" section I will have many things check marked...

I was in an F4 tornado as a toddler an F2 tornado when I was 6 and a F1 tornado just a few years ago... so I think I have good reason to have a phobia of tornadoes or thunderstorms that could produce them. I also have a phobia of heights... mainly because when I'm up on a ledge I get dizzy or lightheaded and fear I may fall. If I'm not next to a ledge or cannot tell how high I am I have no problems

However, I'm wouldn't be surprised if my completed questionnaire scared everyone away LOL ok... maybe not everyone... lol.

Seriously though... I see benefit behind much of the questionnaire however, some of the questions I wonder the point of. Is rehashing horrible events of the past (things you've dealt with and are trying to forget) worth the pain and emotional trauma of rehashing them again?

Well, I might have to get my mother to help me answer some of the questions.

However, good questions on many counts. Asking a lot of those ahead of time could alleviate a plethora of misunderstandings.

I scanned the link. Looks helpful. I used to work in Psych. It resembles some psych testing I've seen (like MCMI).

Here's a great "go-by" I've been using and plan to use if I ever get "serious" with anyone. It's a good general compatibility "quiz" (so to speak) for any Christian relationship: Steve Gregg's "Compatibility Considerations Before Marriage" -

FYI, Thanks! :waving:
