I just feel like giving up. I don’t belong in this world. I wish I could take myself out of it. It’s not like anyone would miss me if I did. Why doesn’t God allow me to die?
Of course, Paul said to die is gain. But while on earth, he chose to tell people about Jesus, and you can do that too just like Paul who said to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21) Just don't kill yourself. Life is short enough already. Why rush from one hell to another?
You're not the only one who deals with depression. You are not the only one who hates life on earth.
Ecclesiastes 7:3
Frustration is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart.
Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple[a] and that God’s Spirit lives in you? 17 If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.
Sometimes, I get the feeling that you are entertaining suicide, Morgan.
DON'T DO IT!
Your grievances in life are but a moment.
2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17)
We are to pick up our cross and follow him.
Jesus said that his yoke is easy and his burden is light.
This life is a breath.
It is a light and momentary affliction you are going through.
for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, (Romans 8:20)
God has frustrated our existence on earth so that we will get our minds off the things of this earth and set our minds to him and a better place.
The Bible says his grace is sufficient.
It also says not to worry for each day has enough worries of its own and each day has sufficient evil.
I wish you well in your struggle, Morgan.
We are not alone.
Jeremiah said, "Why did I ever come out of the womb to see trouble and sorrow and to end my days in shame?" (Jeremiah 20:18)
Job cursed the day he was born (Job 3:1) and thought of arousing Leviathan (Job 4:8) which was a death wish.
Moses said to God, "If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me—if I have found favor in your eyes—and do not let me face my own ruin.” (Numbers 11:15)
So you are not alone in your complaints.
But take heart. Life is short. You don't have long to go. Fight the good fight.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” (Revelation 7:17)
Revelation 21:4
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
No body should come here expecting to get any real help with the problem you are presenting. You need face to face help from a Church friend or a Church Pastor. Do you belong to a Church or know a good Church you could check out?
This site can be educational and entertaining but we are all humans and need to interact with people in person. I don't advocate for those in the field of Psychology because they have never been very good and have become extremely woke as of late but if going and talking to a Psychologist would help you then go get some help, just don't let them push you into taking any drugs.

Morgan, I read your posts about discipleship earlier and I agree that’s a worthy goal‼️‼️
BUT in order to be a Christlike disciple-maker you must meet the following requirements. (You won’t hear these from many 👉👉nice👈👈 pastors but you will hear this from Jesus‼️‼️‼️)
Luke 14:26
New International Version
26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—👉👉yes, even their own life👈👈—such a person cannot be my disciple.
That means you do like Jesus who did the will of his Father. He didn’t come here 👉👉👉to do his own will👈👈👈just to have people be nice to him.
Not only that, true discipleship gets even worse”‼️‼️‼️You must also become an obedient 👉👉👉“slave”👈👈👈 of God‼️‼️ That means 👉👉you stay alive until 👉👉God, your Master👈👈, decides when you go and you will follow his example in this hostile world that 👉will hate you👈JUST like it hated and killed Jesus.
I hope I don’t sound too harsh with you Morgan. But by all indications, Jesus is not your Lord. 👉You are the Lord👈 of your life and 👉👉you need Jesus to obey you👈👈
You talk much about wishing to “take yourself out”.
Morgan, this is a symptomatic of deep seated self-love and a lack of genuine love for God.
For example: You want to “take yourself out” not because you hate yourself but because 👉👉you are deeply in love with yourself👈👈.
This is obvious because 👉You👈 want to make up your own live and death times because God gave you a raw deal and the body and life God gave you just isn’t what you think you deserve. You deserve much better‼️
So, out of respect and honor for yourself, 👉👉👉you want to kill what God gave you👈👈👈 because it’s just not good enough and it doesn’t bring you all the glory that you deserve.
I’ve told you before. Death is not an end, it’s the beginning of eternity‼️‼️‼️‼️
If you want to die then do it God’s way—that means humble your self and die to your own selfish love of self and your own Lordship—die to yourself. SUBMIT to the Lordship of Jesus and stop trying to be the Lord of Jesus. OBEY AND LOVE GOD👉👉👉AND LIVE👈👈👈 for God’s glory, not your own. The Bible says this is how you will obtain REAL life, contentment and the REAL joy from God and persecutions‼️
I would provide verses that support every thing I’ve said…but no one likes these kinds of words 😢
Definitely, Psychologists will tell you to start taking drugs with the kind of talk you have. But they are not licensed to prescribe it, so they will suggest that you go to a Psychiatrist, and a Psychiatrist will start you on drug therapy, and they will likely keep you on drug therapy.
