View Profile History	Abstinence Posted : 13 Dec, 2013 07:21 PM Well, it is a great issue in this present-day world and I am sorry to say, it is going to get worse and worse everyday. First and foremost, people are really under bondage of the devil and he is whispering such to them as freedom and enjoyment. 2nd Tim 3:1-4. There are loads of people out there, even going to church but they are whom the scripture talks about in 2Tim 3:5-6 (either male/female), creeping into churches these days with their deceptive hearts. There are loads and tons of them even on this forum, which is why I laugh when I see what some folks put up as profile pictures. Check out what's now trending on the internet these days, you would wonder if morality had ever existed in the hearts of many or had been but wiped off by an a computer antivirus in the cause of moral clean-off operations of their minds and conscience. I am from an African country, Nigeria to be precise, and the rate at which decadence has entered into the hearts of many, one would just shake the end and weep for lost souls glorying in destruction, calling it fun. Shame is nowhere to be found as 'anything' goes all in the name of FREEDOM or FREE-WILL. Nevertheless, if there is a FAKE product, there must also be an ORIGINAL. Just as the Lord God told Elijah about over 7000 people who hadn't bowed down to Baal, so also do we have numerous number of people who hold the fear of God intact in their hearts. Many of them still abound, though that doesn't mean they are perfect, but they still love their Maker and fear, revere, honour and adore Him, and that is why we Christians must be 'a book' written from 'The Book (The Holy Scriptures)' so that people can be convicted and pierced. May God continue to uphold and strengthen us in the faith. Post Reply
View Profile History	Abstinence Posted : 13 Dec, 2013 10:39 PM Mostly it's the stigma of not "fornicating like an animal" or even worse still being a virgin that pushes people into avoiding abstinence like the plague. I'm weird so in such a situation my "stubborn" instinct (to put it civilly :laugh:) kicks in and I defy the flow instead of going with it... confuses the hell out of some people for some reason. The religious word of "longsuffering" may be more appropo. Still Rebelliously Abstinent works also. Abstinent for God's Glory and to celebrate His Holiness is probably more accurate. r Post Reply

View Profile History	Abstinence Posted : 15 Dec, 2013 02:34 AM I think men need a fresh look at just how God views sex between two consenting adults. #1 is there is no such thing as "pre-martial sex" in God's eyes because when a man and a woman lay down together they are judged either as husband and wife or as a prostitute with a customer. If you are judged as husband and wife you need to make it work with or without the piece of paper that says you are married. If the relationship fails, 9 times out of 10 the man takes the greater responsibility before God. Therefore, carefully consider your choices while you still have a choice. There is no such thing as fornication between two believers. Take a look at whenever fornication is described in the Bible it is always between those who are called aka chosen ones joining together with nonbelievers. (as in the "end time harlot church" with the kings of the earth) Consequently a Christian not having sex with a nonbeliever until they marry them is still committing fornication by becoming one flesh with a "non-believer (this applies to both male and female believers) whenever they do bed down together. A marraige liscence will not change this in God's eyes Things have not changed from the OT days in regard to responsibility of a man for a woman once he has sex with her as he has taken on a life long commitment that can only be broken in an acceptable manner in very limited circumstances. Simply put if you are thinking the person you are considering going to bed with has any chance of not being your forever "till death do us part" between you and another believer..........
