Does anyone remember when the people of Iraq were finally allowed to vote? One of their fingers was dipped in purple ink and they were proud of themselves. Americans complain a lot, but when it takes 20 minutes to stand in line to vote, its just too much to ask. If you don't like your politicians, vote for whoever is running against them. If you like your senators, etc., vote for them. If you don't VOTE, then keep your mouth shut. You have lost your right to an opinion as far as I am concerned.
The education system has stressed the concept of "separation of church and state" for decades. A lot would consider themselves apolitical. To be fair, even many church leaders feel they aren't allowed to speak about politics. Some may not to vote because they feel they aren't informed enough about the policies and campaign promises of the candidates.
Also, the media has portrayed Christians such as evangelicals or Catholics in bad light. Some Christians may be led not to vote to disassociate themselves from the following stereotypes: 1. angry power-mongering women-haters that don't want women to control their own bodies. 2. Racists that hate minorities, immigrants, LGBT+. 3. neo-Nazi folk that love guns, war, and don't believe in science. 4. hypocrites that have their ministers and priests molesting children.
I'd say it's best to vote on party policies based on doing your own research. Just make an informed vote. From the global scale, some don't get to experience political freedoms that are enjoyed by Americans. For example, we can think of countries like China, Saudi Arabia, or Venezuela. Some are less likely to vote when they feel their vote doesn't matter. Which of the two make more sense: democracy or being tortured in prison? I have a friend who finally got his dad who immigrated to Canada 40 years ago to vote for the first time. The gentleman dug a hole and escaped his prison cell on his execution day in Communist Vietnam to survive. Familiarity breeds contempt. Whining is a normal human experience.
Yes I agree. From my point of view, it is sad to witness a society created upon great values just be deconstructed by the policies created by these politicians voted in. I don't think the politicians voted in are doing the harm intentionally though. Most honestly believe their stance will make the country better.
America having two major parties, you get either Trump or Biden as new president in 2020. Nowadays it's character attacking, name-calling, and virtue signaling. I think Americans can benefit greatly by looking at the proposed policies. Do the policies match the rhetoric of Trump or Biden? Can the policies realistically be implemented? What methods would be used? What are the similarities and differences between each side's policies?
It might force some who claim to be “Christian” to defend their votes cast for all those pro-abortion (the sadistic extraction, maiming and killing of unborn children) type candidates.
Another political hot button issue needing to be addressed, exposed and corrected concerns public school education and curriculum.
Supposedly U.S. taxpayer funded schools are “neutral” about religion (but that’s only what the secular humanist education establishment wants us to believe). Actually most or all of our public schools teach only one religion on a daily basis!! Yep, that’s right, that religion is called Secular Humanism!! SCOTUS declared Secular Humanism a religion because it meets the basic criteria.
So, be proud American, your tax dollars are effectively indoctrinating children with humanists values like evolution, sex education, socialism, communism, globalism, and whatever antigods the humanists decide .
NOT TO mention of course, further dumbing down education (has anyone taken a look at USA’s stagnant test scores compared to other nations lately??)
After all, a globalist government requires brain dead compliance! Too much intellectual freedom might ruin the establishment, ya see. Humanists do not want any more of those Christian boat rockers!!
Todays news is that many cities are wanting to defund the police. No money for ammunition, uniforms, cars or gas. No paychecks. No police, let the protesters and looters run the cities. They want no police. No national Guard. No military. Good Luck with that. I need to buy a gun.
People with common sense need to step forward and vote for legislators, mayors, governors, who are conservatives and against all this looting. I will be voting for Trump... the stock market is up. unemployment is going down.
