Look, if you are speaking in tongues and are pleased then okay.
However, not everyone who received or was baptized by the Holy Spirit spoke in tongues. That was never promised. Remember that Jesus warned in Matt. chap 7 that there will be those who did all kinds of miracles and signs, but the Lord will not know them.
The question is: are you insecure about speaking in tongues and are looking for validation?
I can't help you there. You may one of those who received the gift of speaking in tongues. The majority of Christians will not.
I feel that what I received from the Holy Spirit is far beyond speaking in tongues and I wouldn't trade.
In I Cor chap 14, Paul calls on us to desire the gifts that edify the Church like those who prophesy.

CHRISTIAN COUPLES THAT PRAY TOGETHER HAVE THE BEST RECORD STAYING MARRIED.:prayingm::prayingf:
Everyone is different and so just see him as an individual and not as an everyman.
I can only guess since I don't know him, so I'll have to generalize. Both sexes have little tricks that they use. He may be using the one that breaks a woman down until she gives up her moral values and has sex and moves in with the guy. Some guys will then say, "Why buy the cow when you are getting the milk for free?"
Not every guy likes porn.
Use prayer to tell God what you are looking for. Make a list. Pray about your list each day. Make changes as you feel led. If you just ask God for a man, the world is loaded with them.
The term Holy Ghost is an old one. It is the same as the Holy Spirit. In the New American Standard Verision of the Bible, which is a very literial translation, the word ghost is only used to refer to when the disciples thought that they saw a ghost.
The Holy Spirit helps us to please God. We are to report for duty. We are not to tell the Holy Spirit what to do or what to give.
Paul made it very clear. Whatever gift or ability that comes from the Holy Spirit, not everyone will have them. Some come and go, others are for a lifetime of service. Receiving the Holy Spirit does not give anyone the ability to speak in tongues. That only happens as the Holy Spirit wills to glorify God.
I received another one of those wonderful e-mails from a young woman telling me how she thought about me all the time and knew that she was in love with me. She even included her e-mail address.
But, I knew it wasn't to be and I sent back the "I don't believe that we are a match" form letter. She thanked me for my reply.
She is no longer here. Her profile(no pic) and e-mails went buh-bye!
Years ago some people at my church wanted to start what I guess they thought would be a better church and they wanted the senior pastor to go with them. They asked him if he spoke in tongues. He said no and they offered to teach him. Another pastor on staff went. That church is sucessful. Want to be a member? You can if you speak in tongues.
Here is what I think is going on:
People don't want to believe by faith, they want to see something or feel something. Whether it is "thou shalt do works," holy laughter, speaking in tongues, handling poisonous snakes or whatever; people feel a need to experience something.
Where in Acts 1 is anything about being born again?
I Cor 14 Paul makes it clear that all do not speak in tongues and he lays down rules for what should happen if anyone is to speak iin tongues. He also lays out the problems that can happen in a church service.
