What do modern women bring to the relationship table?
Posted : 28 Apr, 2025 02:13 PM

(sorry about the interruption) I know that sometimes a person hunts for something and the thought is that they will know what they were looking for when they find it, but I did not feel that approach was correct in the search for a quality wife. Fortunately there is about half of a chapter in the Bible that describes what I should be looking for. Proverbs 31:10-31 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2031%3A10-31&version=MSG

One of the things that I thought about was "Since a woman is only half of the people involved in a marriage...what should the other half work on?" Verse 23 says:

-Her husband is known in the gates,

where he sits among the elders of the land.-

In my mind what that means is that I need to not be a slouch

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/slouch

I am sure that those words mean different things to different people. For example some people might interpret that as they need to open and operate an automotive repair shop...but thats not me.

I think that the phrase, -he sits among the elders of the land.- could be talking about something like the chamber of commerce. I have spent a lot of time thinking about how I can become a great leader. That's why I think that different guys have a different interpretation of the phrase 'don't be a slouch'

I want to thank Mr. Handyman for starting the conversation because I enjoyed contributing!

I also hope that all of the boys and girls that read the thread will consider how they fit into Proverbs 31:10-31

I agree...its like some people do not even try to comb there hair before they go to the party.

I sort of noticed the trend that is being spoken of a few years ago and my response was "How can I sweeten the deal for my future wife?"

But allow me to back up a little bit. I wanted a guide book, a users manual. I did not wa

The answer to the question "What happened to John F. Kennedy?"...Well the man was killed by highly organized rebel forces that have managed to muddy the waters for nearly 60 years. Just like rebel forces killed Moammar Gadhafi.

Why did either of the two men die? They did not shake hands with the wrong people.

President Trump is not shaking hands with certain people either. The federal government employs around 3 million people in the first 100 days of President Trumps presidency he has overseen the termination of 121,000 of the federal workforce. According to my calculations he has over 2.5 million people to not shake hands with (2,579,000).

Mr. WalkNTalk I am responding to the comment that you made that said:

"The Deep State has probably existed for as long as governments have existed.

We could say, it is a part of government."

I agree, the deep state is like a parasite...somewhere along the line it became like a third ear. Since the third ear has been around so long...some people are screaming bloody murder now that the time has come to remove the 'third ear'.

-Government often has 10 agencies doing one job-

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2014/04/08/billions-spent-on-duplicate-federal-programs/7435221/

Sure its wasteful and I am not in favor of that, but perhaps a larger problem is...Joe citizen recieves 3 request forms from (some goverment agency) and only respons to one request. The two agencies that got the cold shoulder think that there office is the real McCoy and Joe gets slaped with a late fee because he did not respond.

The example that I pointed out is bad and can lead down a bad road, but I also want to point out the fact that 'the swamp' is designed to protect itself. (I realize that I am going to use an extreeme example) But pretend that there is two contractors that have been hired to post road signs in your area. The first company posted a speed limit sign that said 55 mph. Two miles down the road the second company posts a sign that says 45 mph. The cop pulls you over because you were going ten over the speed limit. You protest because you have recieved mixed signals...I think that the case could be made that the cops are in part upholding the desires of the swamp.

I do not want people to read what I am pointing out and think 'the story is an isolated incident'. Instead I want to read about what I am saying and realize that what I am saying is like a "link" of a chain. Currently we are looking at a few "links". But my primary concern is not to point out a random "link"...I want people to see the chain!

Currently there is a war going on. Its not the kind of war that uses bombs and machine guns, its the kind of war where the enemy pretends to be your friend while they watch people poision themselves.

Its like boiling a live frog, you do not throw the frog into a pot of boiling water. Instead you put the frog in water and you gradualy turn up the heat.

Today Robert Kenedy Jr. instructed the FDA to block companies from using motor oil to turn Americans foods diffrent colors. (Heads up it is slightly cheaper to dye things using oil so you might notice a slight price increase...I think that people should take note if suddenly companies need to ask the consumers for more money)...hmm I wonder if the whole "tariff thing" was actualy about companies no longer being allowed to poision Americans.

If you look at the photo caption in the above article, you will learn that Utah has stoped allowing flouride.

-Fluoride is added to drinking water to help prevent tooth decay and cavities, making it a key public health measure. It works by strengthening tooth enamel and is considered safe and effective at recommended levels.-

I am glad that they found some human benfiets for fluroride...here is an article that explains how fluroride is also a key component in the manufacturing of rat posion and other insectides.

Bringing businesses back to America is defiantly not a job where anybody can jump in and start turning knobs.

Tariffs are a strategic move. Say that there are 100 people in a room. One person is a genius, and the other 99 people are not so inteligent. As soon as the genius makes a move...how many dummies will be on board with the plan? The answer is that the genius is at the top of the class and sometimes not everybody will understand the plan.

But I want to provide a bit of proof that the strategy is paying off

https://engineerine.com/honda-production-shifting-us/

When Trump announced the idea of reciprical tariffs, one of the things that was done is that America told companies like Honda we will charge your company a tax to sell Hondas that are made in Mexico or Canada. So if Honda builds a plant in America (and hires American workers) then America will not place a tax on thoes cars. The bottom line is that the president sat down at the business table and told many companies "you can no longer try to cut the throats of the American workers and then expect to sell your goods in this country.

-Honda’s decision to shift Civic Hybrid production from Mexico to Indiana is more than just a manufacturing adjustment—it is a strategic move to future-proof its business. By mitigating tariff risks, boosting local employment, and strengthening its presence in the U.S-

In short, the tariffs are designed to stop money from flowing into the pockets of bad people.

Why the tariffs have been imposed

Why the tariffs have been imposed

I realize that certain countries have tried to scam the system, but economic is a Biblical subject. Basically the main focus of the Bible is to teach people to treat each other with respect. The United States has not always done the best job, but historically The United States has tried to be an upstanding nation that treats people fairly. Other nations want to treat there citizens poorly and therefore the countries stock market preforms poorly.

Those other countries are all about gaining wealth, which is fine but its not fine to treat people poorly so that you can get rich. So other countries have gotten the idea that they will 'double dip' and get rich off of the mistreatment of there own citizens, and then they will sell the products to U.S. consumers. That was one way that other countries were trying to use Americans. Another way Americans were being used is that companies would move out of the United States and build a plant in a country that allowed some type of slave labor. The slave labor would produce the product for the company and then the company would ship the product back into America where the product was sold...and the Americans never expected that they were helping to mistreat people!

There was many, many was that the American people were being deceived, but most of the deception relied on the fact that America allowed companies to produce there products overseas and then ship the product into the country.

President Trump saw this 'back door' that companies were exploiting to enrich themselves, and he slammed the door shut. Basically Trump called the bluff that the companies were saying. He said if 'whatever company' is really treating people in a fair manner, then why not build the plants in America where I know that there are laws to protect people! Trump said that he was not going to allow American citizens to be bamboozled by the greedy companies and he announced that we were going to start charging 'reciprocal tariffs' (which means we are going to treat other countries how they are treating us) and there are countries that want to charge Americans just for the privilege of doing business with them. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/list-of-tariffs-by-country

When Trump announced that 'the giant in the room' (thats the American economy) we wanted to take a step back and look at the business deals. The white house had this to say: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/04/regulating-imports-with-a-reciprocal-tariff-to-rectify-trade-practices-that-contribute-to-large-and-persistent-annual-united-states-goods-trade-deficits/

However the president wanted to be fair so he said that everybody was going to be on a 90 day probationary status, and so far more than 75 countries have admitted that they would be willing to re negotiate https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2025/04/15/will-trump-negotiate-tariffs-these-countries-say-they-want-to-negotiate-fair-deals/

So in short, by announcing the upcoming tariffs it shows that America has selected a leader that cares about the well being of others. If you are one of those people that is thinking that the tariffs is all about who is going to make more money then you are incorrect. The tariffs are about restricting evil from getting rich. For several years there has been a war going on. The war is not between two different countries, rather it is a war that is between good vs- evil, and guess which group of people are getting strangulated when economic tariffs are imposed? Hahahahahaha!

I can understand Mr. WalkNTalk sentiments. And I think that it would have been nice to 'rebuild the infrastructure' before the tariffs were imposed, but I do not think that the people that worked hard to destroy the infrastructure are going to politely sit by and allow the machine shop to be rebuilt.

Its nice when a wild animal gets caught in the trap and you can reach into the trap and remove the animal, but say that in the trap you catch an aligator and poisionous snakes...then its time to break out the gun and kill whatevers is in the trap and then stick your hand in!
