Christian Guys Please Respond to My Inquiry on Pornography
Posted : 7 Mar, 2014 08:58 PM

As a woman, I am so sad at how many have looked at her post and NOT replied.

And as for what one guy said about not seeing it in his eyes or whatever...you would be surprised! It is actually easy sometimes to tell if a man is into that...

Would you be attracted to a Christian man with knowledge of theology and/or apologetics?

Of course! Had been seeing a man for a while, and although he professes Christ, he has no real Bible knowledge...how do you live a godly Christian life if you haveb't read the book?

Any older virgins here?
Posted : 27 Mar, 2011 02:12 PM

"All that being said, God commands us as Christians to stay virgins until we are married. It doesnt matter what anyone else says. "

AMEN NoMrC.

We need to remember that the right was is the Narrow one! If the majority is going one way, you can be sure it is the Wrong way!

I would also say that sin, like misery, loves company. People who are truely born again Christians of maturity could be nothing less than extremely proud of your Strength and Obedience to Christ. The 'world' is only comfortable when you are sharing in their sins.

The Frustration of Unanswered Prayer
Posted : 13 Mar, 2011 06:38 PM

Great post.

Since you said all the spiritual stuff :glow:

I will admit to loving the country song about

"I thank God for unanswered prayers...."

Praise HIM, that He knows what we need (even when we mess up on the praying part!)

actually, there are a lot of people "loving" more than one, that doesn't make it right now anymore than it did in the old testement. (Which, I believe you will recall that he LOVED Rachel~scripture never says he loved Leah)

Marriage or Specifically Christian marriage?
Posted : 2 Mar, 2011 08:30 AM

So which do we really want? So many second marriages are done fairly quickly and am wondering if we just think we can't be alone. Which sounds like a spiritual problem to me, because it is a lack of faith in the Christ who said he would never leave us.. Anyway, reading a good book called "Finding your Perfect Mate" by H. Norman Wright and wanted to share this quote:

A Christian marriage is a total commitment of two people to the person of Jesus Christ and to one another. It is a commitment in which there is no holding back of anything. Marriage is a pledge of mutual fidelity in all areas. It is a partnership of mutal subordination and servanthood."

wow. I want that. Wondering if any of you have experienced that? (which would cut out all of us who are divorced..so I guess the question would apply only to widows/widowers)

Ha! Only on "the Bachelor"!!! good grief, talk about mental adultry! "I feel such a strong connection to each of these women" (he says) Buddy, that "connection" has a name: lust

"Whatsoever a man thinketh, so is he"

How many people do you want in your marriage?

The scripture is clear: Jesus said looking at a woman to lust after her ..has already committed adultry. (Matt 5:28)

The world says its ok. God says different.

The "eye gate" is where man will fall. With women it is what they hear. I think women who are obsessed with romance novels are no less guilty (those men in those books know Just What to say after all to woo a woman..right?)

In the book of Job, it says he made a covenant not to look on a maid. that is a concientious effort to do what is right. Not an easy one~but a godly one

we each need to pray as the devil knows our weakness. An accountability partner is always a good thing!

Gender-inclusive?

A preacher once taught a message I will never forget. And it was So simplistic! The gist of it:

"Things that are different are not the same"

Since he said it about 50 times during the service, you will have to repeat it that many times and then you too, won't ever forget his message!

Scripture talks of sticking to the "old paths". The subtilty of Satan never changes...he will lead us astray a bit at a time if allowed (kinda like the proverbial frog in the hot water). If we believe as the book says that he will preserve his word, then how can we keep accepting books that are Different?

Things that are different are not the same

Things that are different are not the same...things that are Different....

(feelin' like your heard it too??)
