I will not argue the fact that the picture was very alluring, but something else bothered me. Why would a beautiful woman who claims to be a Born Again Christian display her body in such a manner on the internet for all the world to see? I'm sorry, I find it offensive that a Christian woman who is looking for a husband would display her body in such a manner. I certainly would not want my future wife advertising herself this way. "As a ring of gold in a swine's snout, so is a lovely woman who lacks discretion" (Proverbs 11:22). Yet judging by her angry letter, perhaps I was wrong and the woman was right: "Not my fault men like you can't get past their own flesh." So lets have your views ladies and gents on the subject of "Women and Bikinis" on a Christian dating site. It contradicts everything in your profile: "As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord" "that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel...which is proper for women professing godliness" (1 Timothy 2:9-10). It's sick and kind of sad... it always amazes me how a woman will bend over backward to keep her youth and sexiness for a husband who looks like he's never walked faster than a stroll and the only workout he does is a "beer curl" (for those unfamiliar, the arm gesture required to drink beer that resembles an arm weight exercise). I guess it comes back to the double standard and belief that "men are more visual", so a woman is to be beautiful and fit but not care about her husband's appearance. Post Reply

We do not have these photos to look at and judge for ourselves. Until then the only evidence is the emails presented here. And your email sounded a little like a rebuke on the woman's appearance. You broke the first rule on how to get women. Understand women have this mental condition called short term memory loss. They need to be reminded everyday that they are loved. If you find a wife, and I hope you do, she should be told daily that you love her. The woman's response has so much heat and passion attached to it. It is a shame to let it go to waste. If he wanted to �get� her he probably would have had to pander to her ego by adding her to his favorites and telling her how indescribably beautiful he thought she was, and that would NOT have been good for her. Also, I have to say I do not fully understand what you are saying in your post. Do you want her contact information so YOU can pursue her? I think she�s made it pretty clear she�s not interested in men that �R way 2 old�. �Understand women have this mental condition called short term memory loss. They need to be reminded everyday that they are loved.� That first sentence is incredibly condescending and general. It�s foolish to say it�s �short-term memory loss�, and foolish to think it applies just to women. People want to feel loved and appreciated by the people they love and appreciate. Relationships take maintenance and effort, and I would never expect my husband to be satisfied endlessly by one initial �I love you� followed by years without another. In short, I have no idea what you are trying to say, and all that I can get out of it doesn�t make much sense at all. Post Reply

View Profile History	Women and Bikinis on a Christian dating site Posted : 28 Dec, 2010 11:38 PM It is true that it is a �in the heart� issue that God has the last word on, but it is clear from the e-mail response from the woman that she has a pride (or lack of real self-worth) issue. Her bragging about her number of favorites is indicative of that. It�s true that a lot of women don�t really think about it and are shocked and feel kind of dirty when they realize what it can do when they do certain things. It is partly up to the man, but to expect a man to not be lustful while a young lady is next to naked is kind of a tall order. And sometimes women are trying to be lusted after, whether or not they think of it in those terms. They want the attention and use lust to get it. I guess I take the middle ground once again and say that neither party handled the situation very well. I understand that really_54 felt driven to say something, and I would have a hard time not saying anything as well, but it probably was not his place to tell her off. However, I do think she was in the wrong and more or less knew what she was doing. If a woman knows the potential harm in something, but continues to do it, then what she does is wrong, in my opinion. Post Reply
